Bianchi Italian Bike Masters
For the first MEAME photo-shoot we have had the great pleasure of showcasing Bianchi bicycles alongside our collection. Beautifully crafted Italian bikes that have brought aspirational quality to the cycling market since 1885 making Bianchi the oldest manufacturer of bikes globally. Driven by innovation, exclusiveness, quality, design and passion Bianchi have created a world-leading brand.
Similarly MEAME is motivated by the same standards and aim to instil these within each and every product we produce. We think you will love our innovative Biker jacket, crafted in premium Italian fabric and constructed to create a versatile performance jacket that transforms into a gilet. A quality garment designed for all year round! We think you’ll agree the Bianchi bicycles and Biker jackets are effortlessly chic.
In this shoot you’ll see the new Pista Via Brera in an elegant cream and a friend’s beloved older version of the Pista in silver. We loved its charm and wanted to showcase it looking as good today as it did the day it came out of the store, demonstrating the reliability and quality Bianchi provide.
No wonder Bianchi are still pioneers in the bike industry. Coming from humble beginnings, a 21 year-old Eduardo Bianchi opened his small bicycle shop dedicated to repairs in Milan. Ever since his sponsorship of the victorious Giovanni Tommasello during The Grand Prix de Paris in 1899 Bianchi soon became a reputable name in bike manufacture and was selling 45,000 bikes a year only 15 years later.
You will have often seen Bianchi bikes in their classic Celeste, the turquoise Bianchi are recognised for. But do you know where the colour Celeste originated? There are several myths about how the celebrated colour was originally chosen: some say that it matches the Milan sky, others suggest the colour was inspired by the eyes of a former Italian queen who commissioned a Bianchi bike. We may never be sure of its true origins but we do know that Bianchi have created timeless style and representing the highest levels of sports performance, a path which MEAME aspire to follow.
